Indigenous Food Systems, edited by Priscilla Settee and Shailesh Shukla, has been recognized by the Indigenous Food Systems is a vital exploration into the importance and revitalization of Indigenous Food knowledges for the health and well being of Indigenous and Canadian populations. Through in-depth case studies and critical conversations, this edited collection seeks solutions to food insecurity and draws together the research of Indigenous and non-Indigenous food practitioners and scholars to promote an understanding of the barriers to Indigenous food systems and presents ways of reclaiming cultural identity and food sovereignty.
